Twins Performance Horses was established by Danielle and Greer Butcher to work towards breeding, training and preparing performance horses for competition in Australia and internationally.
Both Danielle and Greer have represented Australia, in showjumping, internationally, and have taken no short cuts when it comes to training. They train with George Sanna weekly and are always looking for ways to improve and learn new techniques. They have also attended two George Morris clinics and have been members of the national young riders squad.

At our property we train young horses for eventing, show jumping , sporthorses and as pleasure horses. We also offer our service to campaign your show jumping horses. We are able to prepare your horse for competition and offer them for sale through our many contacts.

We have a well equipped training stable in the Southern Highlands of NSW, where our 50 acre property includes a 10 block stable complex, round yard, 10 electrified day paddocks, and a 60m x 40 riding and jumping arena .

You can be confident when you purchase a horse from us that it will have had the very best start and the very best of breeding.
We believe that you can purchase a well bred horse locally that can offer the very best international pedigree.

Breeding Program

Twins performance horses also is a well established breeding stud of warmblood, warmblood x, and t/b horses. All our horses are purpose bred to be elite show jumpers, eventers and sporthorses for both local and international competition.

We combine the best of the imported stallions and frozen semen, to our selected brood mares to breed talented, athletic and active sporthorses.
Our foundation stock has been carefully selected to reflect the performance pedigrees needed to succeed.

Our young horses are all well handled to grow into confident, positive adults. We have experienced full time staff to ensure all the young horses’ needs are met.

Greer and Danielle Butcher live with their family on a tranquil 50 acre property at Pheasants Nest in the NSW Highlands about 1 hour south of Sydney. They developed a love for horses from a very young age and starting riding ponies when they were 5 years old.
They attended the local Pony Club were they competed in hacking, dressage, sporting and jumping on their ponies Pippi and Promise. It wasn't long before they progressed from their ponies onto horses.

Danielle and Greer each have their own team of show jumpers. They work their own horses each week and prepare them for competition. They have designed their own colour schemes including the horses' ear covers.
If you are unsure which twin is riding a hint is that Danielle rides in red saddle blankets while Greer rides in blue saddle blankets.

Both girls are instructed by Graig Watson - Event rider and World Cup Champion.
In January 2006 they had a week with Vicki Roycroft - International rider and Instructor. They have attended clinics with Jenny Sheppard, George Morris, Ross Smith and Colleen Brook.

The Australian young rider team competing at the CSI "Y" show jumping competition held at the Tollygunge club, Koolkata, India won bronze in the teams event.
The team of Greer Butcher, Sidney Roberts and Danielle Butcher won bronze on a count back after finishing on the same faults as the U.S.A. team who had a faster combined time giving them silver.

The Indian team won gold with Korea and Russia as well as another teams competing at this international young rider competition held from the 30th to 31st of December 2005.

In the individual event held the following day --Australian Greer butcher placed 5th with the other Australian riders competing well on a solid course .
The winner was a Russian girl followed by Korea and U.S.A. Riders thought the courses were technical and set at maximum heights, with riders riding borrowed horses mainly supplied by the Indian army.
The teams were treated like kings during their stay in India with nothing a problem and every wish taken care of. The media of Koolkata and India were in force with the event shown on ESPN India sports and daily write ups in all the papers and news reports done daily on the international riders on TV.
All the international teams had a great deal of fun and rode the Indian horses well and showed their skills as the up and coming riders from their countries.
A very interesting place is Koolkata and diverse compared to our country with horses and show jumping looked upon very differently than in Australian.
