Success in Adelaide

Danni and the team headed off to do Adelaide royal plus two other shows, Gawler including the world cup and metro which had the first stage of the sa national young rider selection series..

The team arrived to do Gawler in freezing conditions. The team started off well with the D-graders all jumping well and placing to follow. Twins Santorini, Twins Limerick and Twins Lovesong all jumped beautiful rounds.  Landsong and Danni jumped the World
Cup with no luck going their way, but finishing a good solid round.

 The highlight of Gawler was Twins Quantum's 4th in the Mini Prix. He really stepped up to the more difficult course and showed what a real talent he is.  This was by the far the most difficult course he had and he took it all in his stride.

The team then headed off to Adelaide Royal where Greer joined Danni.  Twins quantum jumped brilliantly again finishing in the placing and jumping some great rounds.  While he jumped well, we had trouble with Twins Landsong as she was struck down with colic at Adelaide Royal, just before she was called to her world cup class.  She had to be ambulanced to hospital and some very nervous days followed as we anxiously awaited her recovery. 

While Landsong was in hospital the rest of the team had commitments at Metro Show Jumping where all horses jumped fantastic clear rounds again, seeing placing for Twins Santorini in the D-grades and height classes as well as Twins Limerick and Twins Lovesong. 

The highlight, and a great way to end the Adelaide trip was Danni's back to back wins in the young riders competition at Metro that saw her win the first stage of the South Australian selection series. 

Danni would like to thank STC and Tekna for the prize of a saddle.

The jumping was over and it was time to head back home but we were anxiously waiting to see how our beloved Landsong was doing before we travel her back home.  The hospital she was at was just around the corner from Metro Show Jumping grounds so Danni spent all her spare time there. Happily Sue was able to make a complete recovery.  We were very pleased to have back home.

The team was home to continue training our young stock. We have three excellent young horse for sale. They are broken in and ready to go on with.  Twins Calvin, Twins Bubbles and Twins Washington are purpose bred to be top performance horses. Babies

Other exciting news saw the birth of a Saint Bernard litter.  While this was very exciting it also bought some bad luck to the property , with mum (Matina) falling down a flight of 16 stairs landing on a concrete slab, while she tending to the puppies on their first night home.  We had to call the ambulance and she was then airlifted by helicopter to Liverpool hospital where x-rays showed she had suffered a broken neck.

We would like to thank everyone for their well wishes' as she is making a slow but steady recovery.

We now head off to the National Titles..........
