The Youth Festival, The NSW State Title and the Australian Championships.
We have had a good campaign, starting out well with a win in The Young Riders at The Youth Festival with Danielle and HP Landsong. We then went and trained with Chris and Helen Chugg through the week to prepare for the State Titles. All horses arrived safely but the weather was against us and we did not return after the Sunday was cancelled and the Program changed for Monday.
We then prepared for the Australian Championships' and the first day saw us with mixed results, and shoeing problems. However we regrouped and jumped some great clear rounds, seeing both Danielle and Greer qualify for the final and a 5th on the last day on HP Landsong in the final. Greer débuted her new mount Twins Pocket Watch who jumped her into overall 11th place.
Our young horses went particularly well with Twins Lovesong winning a place in the D grade at the Sate Titles and both Twins Limerick and Twins Lovesong jumping good clear rounds at The Australian Titles. Photos will be posted on the site shortly of all horses.
We would like to congratulate all the winners. Emily, winning the Australian Championship Young Riders on, her fabulous imported mare, Romantic Dream, and Jamie winning The NSW State Title for Young Riders. A big congratulation, to Chris Chugg and Vivant winning back to back Australian Titles.
We took out our young team to Sydney Show Jump Club to have a third in the 1m class with Twins Limerick and another 3rd on Twins Lovesong in the 1.10m class. It was also our first day out with Twins Bubbles. She handled the days really well and we will be continuing her training.
We will now rest and train all our horses for the Victorian Circuit, including Equitanna.
We would like to introduce Twins Pocket Watch which is Greer's new Young Rider mount. He is a fantastic horse, brave and plenty of scope to handle Young Riders and Mini-Prix while Greer continues her Accounting Studies. He debuted at The Australian Championships.
Danielle will continue to ride Eliza Jane.
Chain Reaction has been sold to Hugh Buchan, we wish Hugh every success with him.
Danni will head to Shepherton, next week with a team of four. She will be competing in the World Cups with Landsong and Eliza Jane with her coach Chris and Helen Chugg. Greer will then join up with them to do the Wodonga Festival.
Until next time....
