January 09
Motherhood, Bega and Kiama
January has come and gone. What a hectic time of year!
We have been very busy with our breeding program and with some very exciting new breedings. Hp Landsong has been a very good girl and given two embryos, which have been fertilised and implanted into our donor mares. We finally had an embryo from Jane however it didn't take in the donor so we will try again. Celeste has been put in foal to frozen semen from Corlando(Calypso II - Cor De La Bryere). Georgia has been mated to Vivant and we have fingers crossed for a positive preg test.
After a fantastic Christmas we headed down to Bega for a terrific show. We would like to thank the Bega committee for a wonderful show and making a great jump for Southern Cross Horse Transport.
Mid January saw us up at Vicki's place at Mt. White for the George Morris clinic. What a great refresher and learning experience for us. We were 13 years old at our last George Morris clinic and he certainly re-enforced a lot of what we had learnt. A big thanks to Vicki for hosting this event and to Chris and Helen Chugg for the ride on Gifted at the clinic for Greer.
We headed down to Kiama which saw our D -graders jumping extremely well, Twins Limerick and Twins Lovesong. Twins Pocket Watch took out the young rider final, with Greer.
This weekend we head to Berry and the Shoalhaven Jump Club spectacular. We are very excited as one of our sponsors, Southern Cross Horse Transport, is one of the major sponsors of the event. Twins Bubbles will be making her debut, her training has been going very well...so fingers crossed for her first round in competition.
Next we start preparing for the royals.......
